Presenting MIDAS Pitch Fest where the best ideas will be acknowledged, rewarded and funded by Pune’s very own investor panel of industry experts and angel investors. This is your opportunity to showcase your start-up and give it the edge through expert mentoring and valuable resources.

What’s in it for your start-up?

  • Winners of the pitch contest get a 3 months complimentary access to MIDAS Incubation Centre along with 6 hours of business mentoring
  • The first runner-up gets 3 months complimentary access to MIDAS Incubation Centre
  • The second runner-up gets 1-month complimentary access to MIDAS Incubation Centre
  • Funding for selected start-ups post the pitch evaluation and further meetings with Investor panel

Process for registration:

  • Start-ups must apply first using the link: Once shortlisted , start-ups will be sent a link for Registration Payment link Rupees 1500. 

Post registration you will receive an e-mail about the further process

  • If shortlisted for pitching to Investor panel, you would be required to pay the registration fee of Rs. 1500 per start-up.
  • On receipt of the fee, you shall be allotted the time slot along with necessary details required for the day.

Registration criteria for technology-based product/service

  • If start-up already operational, you would be required to showcase the product or service before paying the registration fee.
  • If start-up is in ideation phase, it should have a prototype or working model which is required to be showcased before registration

Registration criteria for non-technology start-ups and traditional businesses:

  • Minimum one year of operations with revenue generation model in use

Important dates:

  • 7th Dec: Last date for registration and Submission of Application for Start-ups       (Announcement of Selected Start-ups will be within 48 hrs)
  • 12th Dec: Last date for registration for Audience
  • 16th Dec: MIDAS Pitch Fest

Prof. Parag Shah, Founder and Chief Mentor, MIDAS:

Serial Entrepreneur and Venture Capitalist

Prof. Parag Shah is a serial entrepreneur with over three decades of entrepreneurial experience across industries like real estate, retail, food, and more recently education. Prof. Parag Shah is actively involved in creating entrepreneurs and developing start-ups and has funded over eight start-ups in the last few years. He is a proud receiver of the Business Acharya of the Year Award from Entrepreneur magazine, has authored a book called Antarprerna detailing his journey over businesses, and heads the Oxford Golf Course in Pune as its Managing Director. Prof. Shah is now actively involved in making MIDAS one of the world’s best eco-system for budding entrepreneurs.

Mr. Manish Harodia:


Entrepreneur and Seed Investor

Mr. Manish Harodia has over 11 years of experience in multiple areas viz Education, Training, Project management, and Business Consulting, He is a regular trainer and facilitator at numerous educational institutions like the IIMs, GIM, NMIMS, SIBM, SCMHRD, TAPMI, National Student Parliaments, Start-up events, Fundraising events, and few international events.

After having created two successful ventures into education technology (www.genesismentors) and ( and making a successful exit from one of it, he is now onto his next projects. One of these is into the alternative avenues of Funding. a crowd-funding platform. The second venture is into the high growth ed-tech space.

Dr. Divya Jaitly:

An Entrepreneur since 2009, she has been a pioneer in bringing Event Management Education to the country. Leading by example, she imparts ‘Habits of successful women’ and ‘Breaking the glass ceiling’ sessions as a successful Personal Branding expert. With a Doctorate in Philosophy in Leadership Management, she has carved a niche for herself across industries. Regarded as the ‘Woman of Substance’ at the Miss India Pageant 2002, she is also a successful T.V. Anchor, Columnist, and a live Events Presenter.

Often seen on channels like Zee and ESPN, she hosted the coveted 47th International Film Festival of India and the Rio 2016 Olympics on Star Sports. As a philanthropist, she has conducted gender audits, capacity building initiatives & set up resource centres in Rajasthan.

Rules for Start-ups:

  1. Each Start-up will get 12 min to pitch their business idea, followed by 5 mins Q&A by the panel.
  2. Each team is allowed to have maximum 3 members. In case you have an additional member attending he/she will have to be a part of the audience and register for the same.
