Madhubani on Canvas

About the Workshop: Ideal for anybody who wants to add a dash creativity to their home with their own Mithila art.

Madhubani/Mithila painting originated in the Mithila region of India and Nepal thousands of years ago. We will hear folklore and cultural significance of the art form while we learn the technique and nuances. Even though the painting style is practiced with natural dyes, in this workshop we will use acrylic colors on canvas for simplicity.

Come Immerse yourself in this experience of creating your own masterpiece.

Learn the history, technique, motifs, folklore and cultural significance of Mithila paintings.

Things to bring along :

Please bring along a piece of spare cloth for spills and wiping your brush.

Pre-requisites: Everyone is an artist. No prior experience in painting required
