Biryani play revolves around the lives of two women Sakina and her paying guest Kurmuri living together in the slum. Sakina is a widow and Kurmuri has left her husband due to domestic violence.

Being a feminist playwright, the writer has developed the play in such way that timeline of play touches different aspects of existential nature of women in a male-dominated class of a marginalized society.

Biryani is a contemporary play that also comments subtly on the current political scenario of our country.
